Jimmy and his partner Richard shared the same bucket list item – purchasing a hundred-acres of land next to a National Park and protect it as habitat. After finding and purchasing their dream property at Gibergee, they were able to fulfil that dream, having the property registered as a State Conversation Area. Jimmy shares his story of when the fires reached ‘the Bog’, and how his experiences of the fires were shaped by a series of personal tragedies.
